We are organizing an event that will help familiarize the audience with the history of the Library on the Sand. The current lecture rooms of the Department of Jewish Studies at the University of Wrocław are transformed into a reference point for the creative activities of over fifty artists whose works are largely devoted to and inspired by the artists’ interpretation of this specific site and the various relations stemming from its historical context.
The exhibition is an INTERVENTION in an unusual space and a challenge in the field of MEDIA. At the same time, it gives the public the opportunity to visit the Library on the Sand for the last time in its historical rendition. The space will undergo a general renovation, beginning in January 2018. INTERVENTIONS / MEDIA is a kind of farewell and tribute to the history of this site.
