Phonograph Collection

The Department owns a collection of 89 vinyl and shellac records, making it the biggest collection of Judaica recordings in Poland. The oldest records date back to the 1930s, the newest are from the 1980s. The collection also includes reel-to-reel tapes and cassettes documenting post-war Jewish history in Lower Silesia. All of the recordings have been digitalized and are available in the Department’s reading room.
