Kamil Kijek’s monograph entitled Children of Modernism. Socialization, Culture and Political Consciousness of the Jewish Youth in Interwar Poland, University of Wrocław Press (Dzieci modernizmu. Świadomość, kultura i socjalizacja polityczna młodzieży żydowskiej w Polsce międzywojennej) won first prize in an international competition for outstanding academic publications on “Jews and Illiberal Regimes in Eastern Europe after 1917” organized by The Leonid Nevzlin Research Center for Russian and East-European Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. An international committee selected the best academic book and the best article on the topic published in Hebrew, English, Polish, German, Russian and Ukrainian.
