Her academic interests include various aspects of the cultural and religious borders of Polish-Jewish history in the 19th and early 20th centuries, in particular such subjects as the acculturation and integration of Polish Jews, universalism, conversion, and Christian missions to the Jews. Agnieszka Jagodzińska is also interested in translation studies, the historical Jewish press, and contemporary Israeli literature and cinema. She coordinated the work of the Hebrew translators involved in the project “The Literary Canon of Memoirs by Polish Jews” funded by NPRH (2017-2023).
Agnieszka Jagodzińska is currently researching advertisements in the Jewish press of the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries and children’s periodicals in Hebrew. She is a member of Centre For Research On Children’s And Young Adult Literature.
