The Department strives to provide its scholars and students with proper library
facilities. Creating a library collection that includes the fundamental publications in the
field of Jewish studies is a top priority. The number of books and periodicals has
been constantly growing since 2003 thanks to the generosity of donors from both
Poland and abroad. The Department of Jewish Studies library owns approximately
9,000 printed volumes, in that about 4,000 in Yiddish and Hebrew, and about 1,500
journal issues. Leon Chameides, David Engel, Alex Lauterbach, Moshe Rosman,
Jonathan Weber, and Ada Rapoport-Albert are among our most generous library
donors and supporters.
Dr Monika Jaremków is the departmental librarian (monika.jaremkow[at]uwr.edu.pl).
The Jewish Studies collection is currently accessible only in the Classical Studies
