Adam Stepnowski
– graduate of the first undergraduate class of the Taube Department of Jewish Studies. During his studies, Adam became particularly interested in Yiddish culture, and expanded his knowledge on this subject during summer language courses in Warsaw (2015, 2016), New York (2019) and Berlin (2019). He was a scholarship holder at the Medema Library in Paris (2018) and The Institute for the History of Polish Jewry and Israel-Poland Relations at the University of Tel Aviv (2020). Adam is writing his PhD at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Wrocław under the supervision of dr hab. Joanna Lisek on Yiddish Tabloid Literature in Eastern Europe to 1914 – Characteristics, Criticism and Social Contexts.
