Award for the best MA thesis on the history and culture of the Jews of Silesia, 1740-1945
The Taube Department of Jewish Studies, Wrocław University, is pleased to announce a competition for the best MA thesis on the subject of the history and culture of the Jews of Silesia, 1740-1945, with particular emphasis on social, economic or cultural aspects.
The theses must have been defended no earlier than 1 June 2015 in Polish, German, or English. Submissions in other languages will be considered upon written request sent to the organizers before the November deadline.
The deadline for thesis submission is 15 November 2017. Please send your submission in a .pdf file, identical to the MA thesis defended, together with a scan of the official confirmation that the thesis was accepted, as well as a short academic CV and the heading “MA thesis competition submission” in the email subject to judaistyka[at]uni.wroc.pl.
The awards will be announced on 15 January 2018.

First prize will be 500 euro.
Second prize will be 200 euro.
