There is a significant and real need to develop Jewish studies at Polish and other East European universities. The programs are important not only for academic institutions, but also for the re-emerging Jewish communities and the quality of their interaction with academic life in Poland. In a Polish context, Jewish studies play a key role in promoting understanding and tolerance, and especially in confronting anti-Semitic stereotypes. The growing number of students who choose Jewish studies programs recognize this, as do researchers who are contributing to an increasing number of publications in the field. The University of Wrocław also understands and appreciates the value of Jewish studies and has made a serious commitment to support our Department.

Further support for our educational, social, and spiritual goals is essential in order to secure the successful development of Jewish studies in Wrocław, Poland, and in Eastern Europe. Please help us grow. Your generous donation will make an immediate and tangible difference.

Donations can be made directly to our bank account, by check, or through our website.

Our major sponsors include: Taube Philanthropies and the Hon. Tad Taube, Barbara Pendzich and Adam Heimrath, Alex Lauterbach, Koret Foundation, the Kronhill Pletka Foundation, the Posen Foundation, and the Bente Kahan Foundation.
